2024 Potential Grads

We will be holding one-one-one GRAD interviews again this year throughout October and November. You need to complete one of the Google Forms listed below (depending on you plans for next year). If you have any questions that you would like to discuss, please include them in the designated area of the form. We understand that you may not have firm plans for next year, so please add as much information as you can to help guide our interview. If you have a spare, we will email you with a date/time during your spare, otherwise will we call you out of class to go over your responses and discuss the graduation/application process.

This is the preliminary "interview" we do with all grads. We are collecting the necessary information about your post secondary plans, courses, and height (for gowns) as a base of information to begin the planning process.

In this form I have explained the deadlines for University and College applications and asked for you to provide detailed information about the program(s) you are applying to. You have the opportunity to ask any questions that you have with me or Mrs. Miller when we meet.

Please DO NOT rush to complete these, there is no bonus points for finishing early!

REMEMBER: APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED UNTIL THE APPLICATION FEES HAVE BEEN RECEIVED BY OUAC OR OCAS. EVEN IF YOU HAVE SUBMITTED YOUR APPLICATION, IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID THE FEES, THE FINAL STEP IS NOT COMPLETE AND YOUR APPLICATION GOES NOWHERE.

You do not need to worry about uploading marks, that is done centrally by the Guidance Office. You do need to make sure your 40 Community Involvement Hours are complete, or that you have a plan for how to finish them by May 1, 2024, and that you have submitted the Online Learning Waiver if you will not complete two online courses by June (there's a dropdown under Student Services for this form).

Any info about scholarships gets posted by me throughout the school year as dates approach in the Google Classroom and there are links provided on the Post Secondary Planning tab. Universities have automatic entrance scholarships based on your average, colleges do not. Most college based scholarships only open in the summer (late June 2024), university scholarships run throughout the entire year and are dependent on each university (I post as many as I can for every school I can in the Google Classroom). Some have deadlines as early as November.

I continue to post additional information through Classroom regarding important dates and scholarships throughout the entire school year so allow notification and keep checking.

This is an exciting year--- your final year of high school. It is important to make informed decisions about your future.  Do your research!
