MAYOR’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE MOVIE NIGHT
What's up Spartans! Come down for a movie night with your friends this Friday,
February 10th at the Victoria Public Library! The event will run
from 6:30-10:00 pm, and you'll have a chance to vote for the movie! The
possible movie choices are: "Crazy, Stupid Love", "Harry
Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2", or "Super 8". Admission
is free, and refreshments will be sold as well. See you there this Friday!
STUDENT SERVICES
Students are reminded that they should have a new printed timetable of their
2nd semester classes. If you didn't receive your new timetable last week,
pick it up in Student Services today. Graduates - remember to get measured
for your robe in Student Services.
CANADIAN BLOOD SERVICES
During this month, Canadian Blood Services in southern Ontario is holding
a contest. “Like” the Canadian Blood Services Southern Ontario
facebook page and be entered to win a blackberry playbook. Tell your friends.
Another way you can support Canadian Blood Services is to donate your blood
to those that need it. Call 1-888-2donate to book your appointment.
GRAD PHOTOS
Grad photos were taken in January. If you were not able to make your appointment
please see Mrs. Dove ASAP.
JUNIOr Girls' Volleyball
Congratulations to the Jr. Girls' Volleyball team who defeated Confederation
in three sets: 14-25, 25-19, 15-7. There will be a practice after school
in the main gym. All members bring your jerseys for team pictures.
SENIOr Girls' Volleyball
Practice today at 2:30 p.m. in the main gym. Remember to bring your jersey
to practice today for a team picture. Smile!
PENNY WARS
Hey SPARTANS....Student Council is organizing a penny war between the grades.
At lunch this week we will have jars in the main foyer or cafeteria collecting
change. Each penny is 1 point and a nickel is 5 points and so on. Show
your spirit and let's see which grade will dominate. P.S. We CAN'T let
the teachers win!
CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP
Christian fellowship meets today at lunch in room 1091. New members are always
welcome, so bring a lunch and we'll meet you there!
Grad Workshop #2
On Thursday, February 16th at 6:30 the Student Services department will be
hosting a workshop that discusses your academic responsibilities in a post-secondary
setting. Brock University's Integrity Officer will present on issues surrounding
plagiarism at post-secondary, as well as time management and technological
security. If you are heading to college or university in the fall, you
won't want to miss this presentation in the conference room. Parents and
Gr. 11 students are more than welcome to attend as well. See Ms. Tucker
