| Thank you to all who contributed to the Westlane 50th Anniversary celebrations. The Steering Committee met and reviewed the event. Some improvements have been recorded for the next celebration. The Committee also discussed the disbursement of the funds raised.
The following was decided by the Committee:
Total raised $13,000.00 1. $1000.00 One time scholarship ($500 each to a male and a female graduate) 2. $1500.00 Cover the costs of the banners hanging in the gym 3. $1500.00 Purchase new equipment for the David Langhorne Fitness Centre 4. $1000.00 Support the Westlane 1503 Robotics Team 5. $4500.00 Purchase of one SmartBoard 6. $3000.00 Support the purchase of a tarp to cover the gym floor 7. $ 500.00 Purchase a tree to mark the 50th anniversary of the school The 50/50 Draw prize was not claimed from Friday night. The committee donated the $315.00 prize money to Tender Wishes. The current Westlane Secondary School students value your contribution to enhance their high school experience.
